here is a list of some abbreviations for online chatting... I found it when I was google searching what something meant then it accord to me maybe some people dont have any idea what some of these things mean so here it is

AFAIC: As Far As I'm Concerned

Yeah thanks.

Some of this stuff just accumilates after time and you just sort of pick it up but I never heard of most of those. Use lol, rofl, and ttfn mostly.

Yesterday my sister said HAGD (Have a good day) and I said "What did you call me?" We had a good chuckle about it. Chatting is such fun and I love how much more connected I feel now that I use it.

I don't even have a phone anymore msn is my phone. And the Winks are fun too.

I too I have never heard most of these I use lol, brb, ttyl, btw, fwi, and ttyl

I have used some other ones too but not that often

A common one to include is IAW: in accordance with. Or is that just a common military acronym?

OR

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly

True... I just don't bother most of the time. as long as it's (semi) readable, It's good.

For simming I use the google toolbar spellcheck...

and that comment was a joke....

i , am computer illiterate so could you please do me a favor and maybe put some computer terms here to. so i can learn some of them. i ,am in the process of finding a book with computer terms.

put i don't know what kind of book to buy. any suggestions!

i, learned to put my sig image on another website. put when i tryed to do the same way here it dint work. when i went back and read my post on the bottom was the website i was useing for my sig image. can any one help me with that .

treklady, books are not a good resource for computers. As technology gets better, books become out-dated.

Places like the library, high schools, and local colleges usually offer computer literacy classes. These would be a good place to start. But stay away from computer basics teaching CDs/DVDs offered thru TV commercials. They just want your money.
