Even if only in flashback, ala Admiral Cain in BSG's "Razor"?  I wouldn't mind ONE bit.  Having finished the David Mack novel "Desperate Hours" the other day, it was nice to have an 'extra' Georgiou story, even if I had to fill-in the role of Georgiou in my mind's eye (the novel takes place a year before DSC's premiere).   I'd much rather have Yeoh do the heavy-lifting on her character; she does it with much more grace and style than my mind's version of her. ;)

The entire purpose of the pilot episodes was to maximize the impact of her death for the viewer and for Burnam.

It did so spectacularly.

It was. It stung when Georgiou fell. Starfleet lost one of its best.

And George Kirk? People wept in the theater.
