Same here. He left a HUGE legacy as an iconic actor, director, writer and photographer.

I am really glad I worked as "researcher" on FOR THE LOVE OF SPOCK because I know you guys will be delighted by Adam Nimoy's movie, coming to DVD later this year.

July 29th 1964 - 1st draft of Star Trek's pilot THE CAGE released featuring Captain Robert T April in command of the USS Yorktown. When NBC ordered THE CAGE, writer and producer Gene Roddenberry renamed April as Captain Christopher Pike and the Yorktown as the United Space Ship Enterprise. A young Leonard Nimoy was the first cast member hired for the first Star Trek pilot in the role of Mr Spock.

I met that actress in Vegas recently.  She looks great!   I joked with her that if she didn't wear that costume, Kirk might not have resisted so much.   :P

Even though STAR TREK premiered on September 8th, 1966 -- photography on the first pilot show, "The Cage", starring Jeffrey Hunter and Susan Oliver, took place two years earlier; from November 27th to December 18th, 1964.
