This guy does the most fantastic Star Trek models, both canon kits and fanon kitbashes. Here's his Federation-class starship USS Dominion.

Pretty cool.

I've seen three-nacelled TOS style ships before but I wasn't aware that was TOS' dreadnought class (the NuTrek version looks like a Transformer; I half-expected it to turn into a truck...).

I love the Constitution Refit. And the way it was introduced (Chronologically, I saw it first through the reused footage in Khan) is just the most awesome and blatant fanservice porn ever.

It makes you wonder how a single movie can give you design heights like the refit, and lows such as the costumes!

For some reason, I always loved the Oberth (despite its total lack of structural logic) and Excelsior classes (so swooshable!), which seems to imply I have some kind of soft spot for the TOS movie era. It totally makes sense as it was these movies that first introduced me to Trekness.

Always wondered about the Oberth... how does one get from the saucer section to the secondary hull? :huh2:

The speculation was that there was jefferies tubes or a turbolift shaft going through the pylons. But a mere look at the Oberth windows shows that these pylons seem pretty thin.

Ex Astris Scientia has a decent article on it.

These are my following favorites:

Constitution class refit - I liked this design better than the original.

Intrepid - fast ship and it lands!

Nebula - a very good design of the Nebula class.

Galaxy - I liked this one alot

Excelsior - a great looking ship as well. They seem to last a long time in serice, longer than any other class ships.

Defiant - tough little ship :D

Sovereign - quite a fast ship as well. Too bad none was shown during the dominion war.

Akira - A pretty good looking ship too.
