Anna motioned quickly towards the door leading to her suite of rooms.

"This way," she said, turning and disappearing into the darkness of the first room.

She stood back against the wall, waiting for the others to follow unaware that the injured man downstairs would soon be turning into an enemy.

There was no time for answering questions as the armed man suddenly reacted to someone, or rather something pressing against the door. Stepping back to the door and pressing against to for bracing, a frantic search was made of the immediate area. "The door needs to be secured" came the near shout, "what can we put against it? Something heavy!"

The French Chef seemed to busy shouting and, quite understandably, freaking out about what was going on. As the man had been shouting in his native language, he hadn't been paying attention to the request for something to secure the door. Without a further moment of hesitation, the request of something to secured the door was yelled toward him even louder... in French.

From the other side of the door, came an eerie groan that sounded so inhuman... it gave the chills.

Rosemary looked at the horrific sight of the approaching... The approaching something, and whatever it was, it wasn't something good. An older guest of the hotel already had been attacked. Gunfire had been heard coming from somewhere in the darkness of the back of the building. Now, there was a horde of... of... Of Death. That's what it was. that's the only thing that explored the horrific sight. The decaying look to the flesh and tattered clothing.

"Will you close the goddamn door" Rosemary shouted as she rushed forward, ripped the door out of the man's hand and slammed it shut.

Looking to the man, Rosemary shot him a look that seemed to have said it all before turning her gaze on the entire group.

Quickly, she tried to formulate a plan, but failed, being at a total loss on what to do. There was no phones. No weapons. She didn't know the layout of the building, or the property. Then of course, there came the realization that she heard something about going up stairs to a secured room. Rosemary was about to suggest they do that when the injured man came back into her eye.

"Oh, god..."

Rushing forward, Rosemary stopped in front of the man, and looked him over, and started to fear the worst. What had gotten her though, was the sight of the green veins that were appearing.

"What the hell..."

(Sorry, Nerys....)

Rosemary slammed the door shut and backed off, moving towards the injured old man. The others looked absolutely confused and simply stood around, looking at each other. This was a situation a person saw only in the movies. The Texans were all too frightend and slightly drunk to coordinate a plan. The only person that had some type of idea was Anna and she had urged them to go seal the door to her room. The prospect of locking themselves in one room did not seem too appealing but what other option was there?

Seth looked back and forth before remembering something the Eastern European woman had said. She mentioned they could escape off of the roof. How would they get there from her room? Windows? A dangerous climb...unless...her room had a direct way into the attic. The design to his mansion was slightly unorthodox and there was a distinct possibility that her room gave her access to the attic.

"Can we please get a f*cking move on?" Seth urged, terror dripping from his voice.

He looked back to see some of the others slowly moving towards the stairs, following Anna. One of the people walking was the former baseball player, Brian. He moved to help Rosemary carry Mr. Wills upstairs. The man had completely passed out and was slumped over his chair. Rosemary looked at the man's transformation with concern and confusion. As Brian reached out to grab the old man, Rosemary was about to speak but she never got the chance. Mr. Will's eyes shot open, a dull white color. He made a low growling sound and grabbed Brian with surprising strength. Brian tried to fight him, but it was too late. Wills bit down into Brian's neck and massive spurt of blood shot out and splashed one of the Texans dead in the face.

"AW WHAT THE HELL!!?!???" He screamed in disgust.

Brian screamed in pain.........

Gavin looked around and saw a rolling tray where the food would be placed to be rolled out to the dining room. He grabbed it and rolled it close to the door as the mysterious man held the door shut. Gavin placed the tray against the door and pressed against one of the metallic stoves. It was close enough to bar the door, but he wasn't sure how long the old door would hold.

"What the hell is going on?" Gavin demanded.

The man never got to reply as they heard a scream coursing through the mansion...

Rosemary let out a shout of surprise and shock as she saw the older man attack one of the other guests. The man screamed as his neck was bit, and blood squirted out at one of the other men. For a moment, Rosemary was frozen a place, a mixture of fear, shock and uncertainty on what she should do. After what seemed like an eternity, Rosemary started to move forward, intending to try and pull the attacking man off the injured man.

"Get off him" Rosemary shouted to the attacking man, not seeing his eyes as she was behind him. "Stop it, what the hell are you doing!"

As Rosemary moved closer, and reached for the elder man as the man under him kept screaming in pain, the two armed men rushed back into the area. The one in the leather jacket looked over the carnage and saw that one of the other guest was being attacked... by him. Rosemary was just shy of grabbing hold of the attacking man when she heard the shout.

"No, don't touch him get away from him, all of you!"

Rosemary was about to scream insanity when the elder man let go of the one he was attacking. The injured man fell to the floor, convulsing from the blood loss and pain. The entire world seemed to go into slow motion as the elder man slowly turned, looking to Rosemary. When she saw his face, Rosemary's face drained of blood, going pale and nearly as chalk white as his face.

His eyes...

"Oh, my god..." Rosemary's voice trailed.

"Get away from him" came the shout again, "Move away!"

As soon as Rosemary backed away, bumping against the old railing leading to the stairs, a loud blast could be heard. Mr. Wills, or what was left of him, dropped to the ground as his face was turned inside out. The sound of a gun cocking and reloading came from Gavin as he stared at the corpse. A part of him felt guilt, but if he had been bitten and was like those things outside? They weren't safe with Wills running around. Brian was proof of that. He was laying in a growing pool of blood and his body was randomly convulsing as some part of his nervous system kept kicking.

"Oh my god..." Nadine said in horror as the old man she had cared for was shot in the face.

Everyone was frozen for the longest moment before Gavin looked to Brian then looked to the other man.

"....what do we do with him?" He asked.

He still was unclear as to what was happening but he knew that whatever he was dealing with...was not human. If Wills had been bit by those things outside and turned...then what of Brian? He didn't know why, but he had a feeling the mysterious man knew the answer to his question...

Seth looked back and forth at the carnage on the main floor, watching in terror as the "security" for the hotel just arbritarily shot the blood-thirsty homeless man. It seemed like something out of a terrible graphic novel.

"Oh my god..." He muttered under his breath.

Gavin asked the mysterious man what it was that he wanted done with the slowly dying Brian, but there had yet to be a reply. The front doors were being banged on by the hordes of "people" coming from the outside. He grabbed Anna by her wrist.

"Let's go." He urged, "The others aren't listening!"

Rosemary screamed when the sound of the gunshot blasted throughout the room and into her ears. The older injured man dropped to the floor, no longer moving, no longer making any inhumanly sounds. Like the others, Rosemary had been frozen in fear and shock, uncertain as to what she should do. But, then, after what seemed like eons, Rosemary shook herself out of the shock and pushed herself into action. Reaching for her bag, and ripping out another pair of medical exam gloves, Rosemary moved for the recently injured man.

"There isn't much that can be done" came the response to the armed man's question, "He'll become just like him" as the gesture was made to the now for certain deceased older man.

"What the hell is the matter with you" Rosemary shouted at the men as she picked up a gauze and held to the convulsing mans neck.

Looking down, Rosemary watched as the man looked up to her, convulsing from the fear, the pain and the blood loss. The pool of the life's blood that had puddled around him was already becoming to much. Seconds passing were likely becoming forever to him, as forever turned into eternity.

"I got ya" Rosemary said, holding onto the mans wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

Rosemary fought back her emotional response, trying to keep a collective calm for his sake. Or was it hers? She could never tell these days.

Gavin wanted to ask how the man knew that Brian would transform, but he had a feeling this was not the first time this guy had seen stuff like that. The man had an air of calm, but even his expression showed that he wasn't above being disturbed by what he saw. Rosemary rushed to help Brian, desperately putting pressure on the wound. Although, he had already lost too much blood by that point.

"What's happening outside?" Nadine asked to anyone who would answer.

The soft bangs on the door and outer walls grew louder and louder.

"Maybe that Australian chick is right." Austin said, incorrectly guessing Anna's subdued accent, "We should get on gettin?"

Gavin approached Rosemary, her blond hair a disheveled mess from all the running around. Between Mr. Wills and Brian, she had blood on her shirt and pants.

"Ma'am?" He begged, "Step away. It ain't safe."

He raised his shotgun towards Brian...

Rosemary looked up to see one of the men aim his shotgun toward the injured man she was helping. Instinctively, she huddled closer to his body as her eyes widened in fear at the prospect of what he was doing. Just as she was about to shout at the man, the woman who had earlier been helping Rosemary stepped forward. After pushing the weapon away from Rosemary and the injured man's direction, the woman shouted at the man. demanding to know what he was doing. Before anyone could argue further, the other man stepped forward, holding up a hand to show he meant no harm.

"Please" the man said, as Rosemary watched, "understand... though he may appear..." the man looked to the other man for a moment and then back to the woman, "callous. He's doing what will need to be done."

"What the hell is the matter with you" Rosemary screeched at the man, "you can't just go around shooting people!"

The man with the larger weapon, a USAS-12 if she wasn't mistaken, looked down at her. His features seemed cold, and hard, yet at the same time, it almost softened, looking sympathetic. Almost.

"Please move away" the man said, "it's too late for him. He's dead. He'll soon turn on all of us."

Rosemary glared and was about to fire back a response when she realized that she hadn't been feeling any movement. Looking down, she saw that the younger man she was attempting to help, had indeed, died. There was no sound. No movement. His eyes had glossed over in the way that could only happen upon death. The skin became chalk white, seemingly from the loss of blood.

What got to Rosemary though, was the veins... the same, greenish color that were on the old man's face.

"Move" the man shouted,

Suddenly, Rosemary felt someone grab her from behind, causing her to shout out and fight back. It had been useless to fight though, as whomever, or whatever... had grabbed her was much stronger. Still, Rosemary trashed and screamed, and kicked as she was pulled away from the body and lifted up off the floor, then pulled away.

"Gol' darn it, gyurl" a voice shouted into her ear, "she said git!"

"Let me go" Rosemary shouted, kicking as hard as she could, "NO!" The woman shouted as she heard the gunfire. Trashing more, Rosemary twisted and trashed, "You ****! Let me go!"

The sound of gunfire filled the air as Brian, or what he had turned into, was shot in the head. It wasn't until the banging on the walls got louder that Gavin realized his weapons fire was what was drawing the undead to them.

"Oh s*hit." He hissed.

He didn't know why, but he felt like he trusted the mysterious man at that moment more than anyone else. The horrified looks on people's face as he shot both men implied they were bothered by what he had done.

"Listen." He said in a hushed whisper, "I have more weapons. I didn't wanna say anything in front of..."

He motioned towards the Texans.

"Can we fight our way out?" He asked him, "Run to the city?"
