I loved this episode because Brunt was just so icky in it. He was hysterical and I was laughing so hard. Gotta love that outfit he wears with the latinum bar hanging around his neck.

This was one of those quiet, character driven episodes that was the cornerstone of the series.

You've Brunt who I want to punch for being such a c**t throughout, we have some macabre comedy scenes with garek killing Quark in the holosuite, we've the accident that has Kira carrying O'Brien's child and then moving in and being part of the family, and right at the end the touching scene where the station personel rally round and get Quark's bar off of the ground again after Brunt confiscated everything.

I'll tell you what, I will escort Brunt to my quarters and get him out of your hair :P This is the episode where I started having a thing for Brunt (even though I love Quark). *is twisted*

I liked the end of it too and also the bit with Kira moving in as well.

1 question why would brunt buy all of quark's vacuum disiccated remains when he hate quark?.

I've been thinking about that ... Knowing what Brunt is like, he probably bribed the doctor to misdiagnose Quark to get him to put himself up for auction and then lure him with an offer he can't refuse, namely the 500 bars of latinum.

At this point it's win/win for Brunt. Either Quark kills himself or breaks the contract. Either way, Brunt breaks a man he hates.

My favorite Ferengi ep. I'm not too keen on them most of the time, but this one was hilariously macabre. I love gallows humor and this one was perfect.

An enjoyable episode. Recently I'm warming more and more to the Ferengi one's and this was no exception. One bit I liked was Garak talking to Quark about all the previous assassination attempts. I hate to nitpick (*looks innocent*) just if that was me (Quark) I'd have been a bit tramuatised even if it was holographically done by my various deaths. Shaken at any rate :)

I liked the Kira/O'Brien's side of the story though if I had been Miles at that moment Kira does the reveal I'd have likely fainted.

A favourite moment was the end where everyone comes to give things to Quark.

That's what I thought too. I can't see any other reason why.

It was an enjoyable episode, but nothing special. I didn't really like the the whole Kira having Keiko's baby though. I know it was necessary to cover Nana's pregnancy, and I think they got around the problem creatively. Just from a story point of view though, I didn't find it that interesting.

Brunt was such a git in this one! What a way to break Quark. I loved how the crew came and put Quark back on his feet again. It just goes to show that friends are the only assets they can't take away from you. Where would Quark be without all his friends on DS9, hmm? happy.gif It was also a good character-building episode for Quark, just to show that he's got his own sense of ethics that don't always agree with a Ferengi code of ethics--in this case, the Rules of Acquisition. As the first Grand Nagus had said, the Rules were more of a set of guidelines and suggestions, rather than legitimate rules...they were just called that as a marketing ploy.

And I loved the part where Quark hired Garak to kill him, and Garak complained about how Quark was too picky about how Garak was to do it.

Garak: *snaps holo-Quark's neck* How was that?

Quark: AWFUL!! Did you hear that sound of bolts snapping?! I don't want that to be the last thing I hear!

Garak: It wasn't that loud.

Quark: You don't have these ears. Snapping vertebrae is out!

Garak: We're running out of options, Quark. You don't want to be vaporized because you need a body, the disruptor ruined your clothing, the knife was too savage, the nerve gas smelled bad, hanging took too long, and poison...what was wrong with poison?

Quark: It doesn't work! If I know the food is poisoned, I won't eat it!

And the first Grand Nagus resembling Rom was funny too. XD

"Maybe I wasn't clear, I'm not dying." - Quark

"Maybe I wasn't clear, *inhales* I don't care."

----

"I have a thousand ieas of how to... defile your remains. Want to hear my favorites?"

---

"We're not Klingons, we're businessmen."

"This isn't business, Quark.. this is personal."

"What have I ever done to you?"

"(mocking) Done to me? ..And you call your brother an idiot!"

Epic blossoming Brunt character quotes. Need this strange fan say more? XD

I wasn't a huge fan of this episode, but I must say, the scene with Garak "killing" Quark made it worth while for me. I liked the idea on how they covered Nana Visitors pregnancy. Just interesting to think of it as Keiko and Miles's baby, when it was actually Nana's and Sid's.

The Kira-Keiko womb-swapping story is a bit much to swallow. I guess that's one way of handling an actresses pregnancy...

The Quark-Garak stuff was quality gallows humor. Brunt must really have it in for him to blow 500 bars just to put Quark in a jam. He must have known about the false diagnosis before the bid, but how?

I give it a 6/10 because the Kira-Keiko story isn't as good as Quark's story.
